Galaxy AI Reportedly Coming to Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 Smartphones!
Fancy trying out those nifty Galaxy AI features the newest top-of-the-line Samsung smartphones are packing but find the price a little too high? In that case, you’re in luck as the brand’s reportedly planning on bringing Galaxy AI to some of its A-series line up, specifically the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 models.
Certain features will supposedly arrive via the upcoming One UI 6.1.1 update for these smartphones. However, there might some caveats involved:
A Simplified AI Experience
As with the implementation done for older S-series flagships, not all features may make their way to the A-series midrange phones. After all, the Galaxy S23 FE, the most affordable model to be compatible with Galaxy AI, was missing the ‘Instant Slow-Mo’, one of Galaxy AI’s launch features.
Likewise, the flagship S22 and S21 smartphones also got pared-down versions of the Galaxy AI suite; something we’ve already covered here.
There could be a number of different reasons for this. For starters, the other smartphone’s processors may not be strong enough or perhaps they don’t have capable NPUs. Or Samsung may just want to keep some features in flagship territory to distinguish them further.

What about the Galaxy A54?
With the Galaxy A35 reportedly getting at least some of these new AI features, some users have wondered whether the older Galaxy A54 will be eligible as well. After all, both smartphones are pretty similar in terms of specs, with both using the Exynos 1380 processor.
Unfortunately, no word yet on whether Samsung will be extending their AI capabilities to even older mid range smartphones. Not all previous Samsung flagships were able to get the latest AI features and upgrades either like the S20 series.
