Samsung Temporarily Pauses One UI 7 Update Worldwide

Samsung’s One UI 7 update is once again delayed, at least for some older models.

The Korean smartphone giant has reportedly halted the rollout of its take on Android 15 worldwide as a result of finding a bug that makes it difficult to access the phone after the update. And while it has only affected a number of older models (the flagship Galaxy S25 series are obviously not affected), Samsung is reportedly working quickly to resolve the issue.

In the meantime, they’ve taken down the update roadmap for older phones so those still rocking even older Samsung models will have to wait for additional news on the revised schedule.

Affected Models

While One UI 7 will already have a staggered release for older smartphone models, the issue was actually reported on the base Galaxy S24, the Galaxy S24+, and the Galaxy Z Flip6, and Galaxy Z Fold6 foldable phones. Oddly enough, the Galaxy S24 Ultra seems to be unaffected by the bug, updating to One UI 7 just fine when it arrived.

Updates for even older smartphones will take a while because of this but, at least anyone still rocking phones like the Galaxy S23, should have nothing to worry about.
