Google Play Store Update Now Allows for Simultaneous Downloads!
A new update has just dropped on the Google Play Store! Thanks to the latest change, the Play Store now allows you to download two new apps at once to your phone! Ok, maybe it’s not the biggest change we were expecting but we still think this is a helpful feature for people looking to start fresh with some of the best Android smartphones!
You should be able to try it now. Choose two apps you want to install on your phone and simply wait for it to finish simultaneously. It’s a small feature but a welcome one since it should save you a bit more time. Of course, we recommend updating your smartphone so that you have the latest OS and security updates available if it doesn’t work.
Regardless, this should put them closer to IOS, which offers up to three concurrent downloads on the best iPhones available. Hopefully, we can see Android catch up to their Cupertino-based rivals…at least when it comes to concurrent app downloads.
Details and Limitations
Unfortunately, the update only allows two app downloads. If you try to queue a third app, you’ll be with the pending notification. Of course, there is news that Google’s planning more expansions, which should hopefully make the experience a lot more convenient, especially since the current version allows downloads regardless of memory size and internet speed.
Additionally, Google’s keeping things to downloads for now. You still can’t update more than one app at a time even with the new feature. We think this is kind of a shame because I think we’ll all reach a point where we’re updating more apps than downloading new ones. Hopefully this can be expanded to updates as well.

Other changes expected for the Play Store
In addition to this download expansion, Google’s also expected to roll out a few more changes to their Play Store. Leaks point towards a feature that can help with uninstalling apps on all connected devices though this is still unconfirmed.
And with the brand’s push for AI in phones like the Pixel 8 Pro, we might see some integration in the App Store as well. Some people are saying that Google may remove the search bar entirely, favoring one that’s powered by AI suggestions based on your browsing data. Personally, not much of a fan if it’s true.
Reports have already confirmed it working on some of the best Android phones like the Samsung Galaxy S24 and the base Pixel 8. So if you’re thinking of making the switch to these more recent, more powerful models, then make sure to get the best deal here at your most trusted online gadget store!
