Infinix GT 20 Pro and Infinix GT Book Announced With a Gaming Twist!
Android brand Infinix is announcing a slate of new products, and this time, gaming is shaping up to be a big focus. The star of the show is of course, the Infinix GT 20 Pro; billed as the only smartphone to offer a dedicated gaming display chip at its price point, leading to a much smoother E-sports experience.
The new phone is set to be the official tournament mobile phone for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Season 13, according to Infinix. Additionally, they’ve already confirmed to release in the Philippines, unlike the previous Infinix GT 10 Pro.
But does the actual gaming phone hold up in terms of performance though? Well, let’s take a look at the core specifications of this smartphone here:
Infinix GT 20 Pro
Let’s talk about the supposed dual chips the Infinix GT 20 Pro will be coming with. These are composed of the Dimensity 8200 Ultimate 5G processor as well as the Pixelworks X5 Turbo Dedicated Gaming Display Chip. This should, in theory, allow it to run games at up to 120FPS.
To help out with this, the phone’s also packing up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, which should drastically cut down loading times, even in some of the most demanding titles. Likewise, it’s getting a 144Hz AMOLED display which should ensure a smooth operation all throughout.
Battery life appears to be quite standard with other high-end phones though, coming in with a 5,000mAh cell. There’s 45W fast charging which makes it quite similar to Samsung’s higher end S-series phones.
Infinix didn’t forget about the camera department either, offering a triple-camera array with a 108 MP main camera with OIS for more stable shots. Given the phone’s processing power, the phone’s also theoretically capable of shooting 4K60FPS videos. The main camera’s still not as overkill as the 200 MP main shooter on the Infinix Zero Ultra though.
Design is a little more divisive in our opinion. It doubles down on that edgy “gamer” aesthetic with its ‘Cyber Mecha’ design, complete with aggressive styling and RGB lighting. Kind of odd in a time when other gaming phones like the Redmagic 9 Pro or Asus ROG Phone 8 are moving towards a more subdued design. But then again, some people do like that kind of aesthetic.

Infinix GT Book
The Infinix GT 20 Pro wasn’t announced by itself of course. The phone was revealed as part of its “Infinix GT Verse”, which includes a laptop of all things. A gaming laptop Infinix is calling the Infinix GT Book. And of course, there’s plenty of interesting stuff to unpack here too:
Its primary specs are pretty much on par with most gaming laptops from bigger brands. You get a 13th-gen Intel i9-13900H processor, which should provide you plenty of power to take on all of your apps and games. This is paired with an Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, setting you up for a smooth gaming experience, even with most AAA titles.
We don’t have any details regarding its RAM and storage configurations but this should still be a solid option, provided they’re able to keep the temperatures stable. For this, Infinix is supposedly using its Ice Storm 3.0 Dual-Fan Cooler to help keep the device cool and avoid thermal throttling.
All of this comes in a reasonably slim, Cyber Mecha chassis with a 16-inch diagonal display that can reach up to 120Hz rates for a smoother experience. It’s got RGB lighting too to really hammer home that gamer aesthetic.
Pricing and Availability
Unfortunately, there was no details regarding pricing and local availability for both of these new devices as of yet. We’ll definitely keep an eye out for their pricing and release schedule. In the meantime, you can check out some of our more affordable gaming laptops like the HP Victus with Nvidia RTX graphics here!
As for the Infinix GT 20 Pro, this gaming phone will be available in Mecha Blue, Mecha Orange, and Mecha Silver, all coming in either 12GB RAM/256GB storage or 8GB RAM/256GB storage options. Pricing likewise, is yet to be determined.
