Redmi Note 14 Lineup Releasing This January!

Xiaomi has officially confirmed that their Redmi Note 14 series is releasing on January 15, 2025 here in the Philippines, months after first debuting in India and China. This should give us a number of great midrange options to choose from, especially with the lineup consisting of three new phones. Five if we count the eventual 4G variants based on what we’ve seen with their Note 13 series.

Just in time for payday too. But for now, let’s take a quick look at how each phone differs in terms of specs and in terms of overall design. And things have certainly changed here.

Redmi Note 14 5G: Quick Specs

To start, the lineup consists of the Redmi Note 14 5G, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, and the Note 14 Pro Plus 5G. For this, we’ll start with the basic model.

The Redmi Note 14 5G stands at around 6.67” inches as per Xiaomi’s official site. There’s a bright, 2400 x 1080p AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, leading to smooth scrolling and operation. Backing these visuals are dual stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos.

A Dimensity 7025-Ultra chipset built on TSMC’s 6nm process provides sufficient performance chops for the phone, and this is backed by 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, with an option to expand via microSD card.

Cameras are fairly standard for this phone, with your triple main, ultrawide, and macro camera. You’ve got a 50MP Sony sensor with OIS for your main, 8MP for the ultrawide, and 2MP for the macro lens. So you know, nothing too special. Oh, the front camera is a 20MP shooter.

Redmi has always provided decent battery life and that continues with the Redmi Note 14 5G’s 5,110mAh cell with support for 45W charging. And yes, there’s an equivalent charger included in the box.

For colors, the phone will be available in Titan Black, Mystique White, and Phantom Purple.

Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G: Quick Specs

But what happens when you move up a tier above? Well first off, the design language now becomes a little different, with the camera island being moved to the center and the phone now sporting this dual-tone, PU-leather textured back. Kind of like the Alpine Blue version of the Xiaomi 13T.

Display size is similar however, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G’s resolution has been bumped to a 2712 x 1220p AMOLED, with 120Hz refresh rate for the same smooth scrolling. Likewise, the camera setup and MP are also similar.

The chipset’s been upgraded to a Dimensity 7300-Ultra, built on TSMCs 4nm process, and equipped with an ARM Mali-G615 MC2. Same RAM and storage configuration though; 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

Battery is interesting. It’s a 5,500mAh electrolyte cell, different from the usual li-ion batteries found in most smartphones. Xiaomi promises big improvements in battery life with this new technology. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see until we’ve got it in store so we can test.

For colors, the Pro seemingly drops the Mystique White in exchange for an Ivy Green, alongside the Phantom Purple and Titan Black options.

Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G: Quick Specs

And now we get to the highest tier from this midrange line with the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G!

The Pro Plus is fairly similar to the Pro though now it ditches the duotone style of the latter in favor of a more solid color, with only the metallic gray camera island breaking it up. Its 3D Curved AMOLED display is similar to the Pro, down to the resolution and refresh rates.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G now switches to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3; built on a 4nm process. You start with 8GB of RAM but there’s an option for 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, which should be more than sufficient for your needs.

Macro sensor’s gone on the Pro Plus and now, you get a 50MP telephoto camera capable of 2.5x optical zoom. The main camera is a 50MP Light Fusion 800 shooter, which promises brighter, more detailed shots. The 8MP ultrawide is retained on the rear, as well as the 20MP shooter on the front.

Battery has been switched up a bit as well, with the 14 Pro Plus 5G now coming with both solid electrolyte and silicon carbon technology. Charging speed’s twice as fast as well, with 90W HyperCharge. A little slower than the 120W charging found in the previous Note 13 Pro Plus though.

Once again, the Mystique White color has been dropped and replaced for a Spectre Blue. And of course, the Phantom Purple and Titan Black options are the same.

From flagships, midrangers, and even affordable phones, we’ve got it all here at Kimstore’s Xiaomi collection here!

New Redmi Accessories

In addition to the smartphone announcements, Redmi’s also expected to launch new wearables and accessories in the Redmi Buds 6 Pro and the Redmi Watch 5. The new earbuds brings some slight improvements to its Active Noise Cancellation, Bluetooth 5.3, and a slightly beefed up battery both in the buds, and the case.

It will be available in White, Black, and Jade Green colors. There’s a special “Gaming Edition” colorway in black and orange coming too.

As for the Redmi Watch 5, it gets a larger, brighter 2.07-inch AMOLED screen. Xiaomi’s also promising performance improvements via a newer, more accurate heart rate sensor. And yes, it still comes with its complement of sleep and exercise/sports tracking functions.

Battery life is reported to last up to 24 days of normal use and around 12 if you’ve got the Always-On Display active. It’s coming in black and silver colors for the standard model but Redmi is also releasing an eSIM version done in Titanium Silver.

How’s that for new gear this new year? We’ll definitely stay tuned to see when we can get these amazing products in store for you. In the meantime, make sure to check out our latest releases for 2025 over here!
