Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 Confirmed for January 18!
Galaxy fans, mark those calendars now! Samsung has confirmed that its Galaxy Unpacked event will be taking place on January 18, 2024, at 2:00 AM Philippine Time! The news comes from the Samsung Newsroom itself so unless something changes, the program should go off without a hitch!
Samsung Galaxy S24 on the horizon?
While Samsung hasn’t shared a lot of details regarding any devices for the event, it is possible to see the Galaxy S24 line of flagships in just a couple of days. This prediction is based on the fact that both the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S23 line were announced during the first quarter’s Galaxy Unpacked events, as well as a number of leaks and rumors coming out in the past few months.
Smartphones aren’t the only devices to take center-stage during the brand’s Unpacked event. It may be possible to get new Galaxy Book announcements alongside the usual, though that all depends on the theme of the event.

Prepare for Galaxy AI
Samsung is promising a revolutionary experience with its new devices and bulk of this will be due to the new “Galaxy AI” the brand’s been working on prior to the event. If you recall, Samsung has unveiled its own generative AI model called Samsung Gauss back in November 2023, and we’ll probably see this integrated more into its upcoming devices.
Named after famed mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss, the generative AI model is split into Samsung Gauss Language, Samsung Gauss Code, and Samsung Gauss Image. Samsung Language, will supposedly help with tasks like writing emails and translation while Image will be geared more towards image generation and editing.
Of course, we’ll have to wait and see how its new devices will integrate these functions into its operations.

Aside from the announcement, Samsung has also started a mysterious “pre-reserve” program where customers can provide their name and email to secure a mystery pre-order of sorts. What it is, Samsung hasn’t provided any details. There’s no commitment here though, and you can cancel it if the item isn’t to your liking. Additionally, Samsung’s offering a PHP 5,000 e-voucher discount for that pre-order item.
