Tim Cook announces “newcomer to the family” on February 19

Something to get excited about for all our Apple fans out there. Apple CEO Tim Cook announced on X that the “newest member of the family” was going to be announced on February 19. After all, it’s definitely talking about a new Apple product, especially when you factor in the accompanying image and hashtag.

The big question is, of course, which product would it be?

Is it the new iPhone SE 4?

A new iPhone SE (theorized to be called the iPhone SE 4) seems to be the most obvious answer for most people. It’s said to come with big upgrades at least compared to the previous iPhone SE, which was released all the way back in 2022. We don’t have any official confirmation on specs of course, but we can infer some details based on their previous releases.

For instance, a lot of rumors point to the phone having a nicer OLED display, given that nearly all new iPhones have been using this same type in recent years. Likewise, it’s probably going to come with one of their latest processors; perhaps the same A18 used in the base iPhone 16. And thanks to EU regulations, we’re definitely sure it uses a USB-C connection.

There’s definitely plenty to look forward to once the product is revealed on February 19. For one, it might be a good way for those still on older iPhones to upgrade without breaking the bank. That is, if this product is an iPhone. There’s other potential product candidates for the reveal.

An M4 Macbook Air?

Alternatively, we could be getting a new Macbook Air this time. Apple’s M4 chips have already made their way to the Macbook Pro so we won’t be surprised if we got it in their lightest variant as well.
